Staging

The idea behind 'home staging' – presenting a property at its best through lighting, decorating and furniture – is simple: a better looking property will attract a larger number of potential buyers, helping it to sell faster at a higher price.

Make it stand out.

Home staging is also beneficial because potential buyers don't want to see work that needs to be done upon moving into the home. For every problem they see, they'll deduct its cost from their offering price. If they see too many problems, they may pass on buying the home completely.

Should I stage My Home?

The short answer is yes, empty houses do take longer to sell than furnished, occupied or staged homes. A study from the Appraisal Institute found that vacant houses sold for 6% less than occupied houses and stayed on the market longer. There are a few reasons why this is the case

Could my house sell for more if staged properly?

Staged homes are typically sold in half the time of an unstaged home for an average of 5-10% higher! That means if a home is listed for $500,000, an initial investment of approximately $2,500 could increase your sales proceeds by $25,000 to $50,000!

How long does staging stay in the home?

Staging is a crucial step in the home-selling process. Even minor touch-ups and decorations can go a long way in getting a home sold quickly and for the best possible price. We typically take photos and have the home set until the home has gone pending.
